Introduction

The new Galaxy Note 9 has been built to better what is obtainable in the Galaxy Note 8. It was designed with the main focus of improving on the productivity aspects which no other smartphone is offering. Galaxy Note 9 comes with a new Bluetooth-powered stylus. The S-Pen stylus is more than just a plastic pen for scrawling. The pen had been to boost mobile productivity.

The Design

The design of the Galaxy Note 9 is similar to that of Galaxy Note 8 that it would be hard to differentiate between the two at a glance. It is an all glass design and the main difference is at back of the device. The Galaxy Note 9 has a horizontally placed dual lens and a finger print scanner. The finger print scanner is a bit smaller. Another difference in the design is that, it has been trimmed at the sides which make it more compact to hold. The Galaxy Note 9 comes in four different colors; black, purple, ocean blue and copper.

Display

The device features a 6.4 inch super AMOLED display. It has a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels and density of 516 ppi pixels. It has one of the finest displays in flagship smartphones. The display offers an edge to edge bezel-less immersive feel. With the Corning Gorilla Glass 5, the screen is protected and prevented from scratches. However, we advise you to get a cover to protect the rear glass from minor scratches or accidental falls.

Performance and Battery

The Galaxy Note 9 has the biggest battery in the Note series. It has a non-removable 4000mAh battery with fast charging. With moderate usage, the battery life is expected to last one full day. The Galaxy Note 9 runs on the latest Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. It has 2.7GHz Octa-core Exynos 9810 processor with 64 bit architecture. The device is claimed to be 33 percent faster than the Note 8 and bigger carbon fiber has been deployed to dissipate heat. The device can be used for gaming or video editing without becoming hot. Thanks to the Cat. 18 LTE modem the mobile internet and Wi-Fi speed is faster.

Final Verdict

Presently, the Galaxy Note 9 is the best and it has no competition. The S-Pen stylus in the device is one thing that will make you go for it. It has better performance when compared to the Galaxy Note 8, and its closest competitor is the Galaxy S9+ and for those who doesn’t need the S-Pen.
